Anderida Stud Farm, East Sussex

Back in the day- May 2011

All our foals are doing very well and we are expecting one more from Anderida Cambretta, she is due anytime now!

We would like to mention our oldest resident Poly who show jumped to a high level in her younger years and joined the other horses on hacks on the Ashdown Forest until recently as she has now been retired and is living happily with some of the youngsters in a large field at the riding centre.

Anderida Polydora

Anderida Polydora
Polydora was bought from her breeder in Westfalia, Germany and is by one of the modern day prolific sires of great SJ horses; Polydor.
Polydors progeny include many top class horses including; Polarkoenig, Paavo, Polydox, Pamina, Two Step, Positano, Pilgrim and Potsdam to name but a few.

November 2010 – Polydora is in foal to the exciting show jumping stallion, Kalaska De Semilly who represented France in the 2008 Bejing Olympics Cambretta has a foal through embryo transfer which is due in March 2011. The sire is Diamant de Semilly – the no 1 show jumping stallion in France She is, herself in foal to the very promising young French stallion Quebracho de Semilly and this foal is due in May 2011.

Cambretta was purchased at the Holsteiner Aucton in 1995.
She is by Campionne, son of the famous Capitol 1 out of a mare by Landgraf 1
. Cambretta was bred by famous horse breeder H.W. Ritters, . Cambretta’s motherline has already produced 5 International SJ horses.


Anderida Polydora

Polydora was bought from her breeder in Westfalia, Germany and is by one of the modern day prolific sires of great SJ horses; Polydor. Polydors progeny include many top class horses including; Polarkoenig, Paavo, Polydox, Pamina, Two Step, Positano, Pilgrim and Potsdam to name but a few.
Polydora was initially brought out by one of the UKs’ best young horse producers Brian Lear and then subsequently leading lady rider Jane Annett, proving to be highly successful in novice classes, culminating in a 2nd place in the 1999 Walwyn Novice Championships and 4th in the Grade C Final at Wembley in Oct. 2001.

Polydora retired sound from competition and has produced the following;

Anderida Polaris 18hh 9y/o Grey Gelding by Lars Irco G (Gustavii Stud) Conceived through embryo transfer, Polaris, due to his size has taken a lot of time to mature, but is showing tremendous promise. He started his competitive career, ridden by the highly talented Peter Lear, son of Brian who so beautifully produced Polydora and now is owned and ridden by Rachel Keevil one of the most talented amateur riders around who so successfully produced Anderida Anica to the highest level.September 2011,Polaris had a mixed outdoor season with some very good results but he has had some minor injuries which affected his consistency.

Anderida Polestar 16.3hh 7y/o bay mare, by TB stallion Green Horizon was also produced through Embryo Transfer. She has her own foal by Anderida Charleston and will commence her competitive career after weaning. Sold to talented amateur rider. in 2009

Anderida Apolo 16.2hh 6y/o Bay Gelding, by Renkum Valentino.
Has jumped British novice and Discoveries and already showing great promise. In April 2010 he was sold to local rider Jennifer Gauld

Anderida Musidora Now joined Rachel Keevil’s yard to start what will hopefully be a successful show jumping career.September 2011.musidora has now done a few clear rounds and the future looks bright.The biggest problem  looks like rachel will have to find a way to stay on mysidora,who can be a little bit exuberant sometimes.

Anderida Cambretta

CambrettaAnderida Cambretta, another of our foundation mares was purchased at the Holsteiner Aucton in 1995. she is by Campionne, son of the famous Capitol I out of a mare by Landgraf I. She also carries the bloodlines of prolific sire of SJ horses, Caletto II through her Grandmother. Cambretta was bred by famous horse breeder H.W. Ritters, who’s stock includes the 1992 individual showjumping champion Classic Touch ridden by Ludger Beerbaum. Cambretta’s motherline has already produced 5 International SJ horses. Produced and successfully competed by Brian Lear and subsequently Jane Annett in 1.35 classes, Cambretta retired sound to become a full time mother.

Her own progeny include;

Anderida Anica, by Olympic horse Animo, one of the last sons of the illustrious Alme, has been produced slowly to Grand Prix level by the very talented amateur rider; Rachel Keevil.
She was sold to Paul Barker,and was jumping at the highest international level.
Winner of almost £23,000 in 20 months,
In February 2010 was sold and is competing for Norway. September 2011,we have just heard that anderida anica is back in england.it seems that her norwegian owner has sent Anica to Ian Whitakers yard to be sold.Great shame that this wonderfully talented mare never reached her full sporting potential .

Anderida Cassanova 16.1hh grey 8y/o old gelding by Renkum Valentino.
He was bought in 2009 by a local talented riderAnderida Comanche16.3hh 7yr old grey gelding bu Randi, very good all round horse, with an excellent temperament. We are pleased for Anderida Comanche who has now been sold to a lovely private home, where he will surely have a bright future.Anderida Charleston16.1hh Bay 6y/o gelding by International Grand Prix horse Lauriston. We are very sad for the loss of our very exciting and promising young show jumper Anderida Charleston, who never had the chance to fulfil his potential. Anderida Icaros, 3yr old by Almiro G, born 16.06.08.
Almiro G, bred by the renowned Gusatvii Stud, carries the most
valuable bloodlines of Alme crossed with highly successful sire of SJ
horses Irco Mena. His lines go back to the legendary Laudanum and
Paladin des IfsIcaros was sold in September 2010Anderida Diablo Bay colt born 8.4.11, by Diamant De Semilly. This beautiful foal was born via embryo transplant. (FOR SALE)

Anderida Oharmetta (died 2009)

Anderida Oharmetta, 1996 16.1hh bay mare ,purchased through the renowned Nighof Stud in Holland, is by the International SJ stallion Polydox out of a fantastic Ramiro-Excur-Marco Polo motherline. The same family has produced many top horses, including Pybalia and Nirmette. Produced slowly by Rachel Keevil, she herself competed successfully up to 1.35 m level.

Oharmetta produced: Anderida Lauretta, Brown 3yr old by International performer Lauriston, this beautifully bred filly is definitely a star of the future

Anderida Lauretta has been sold and will hopefully start her competitive career, all the best luck to her.
